Educational model
OLL is a private Catholic preschool–grade 8 school. Its curriculum follows Archdiocese of Seattle requirements and is cross-referenced with Common Core, Next Generation Science Standards and Washington standards. Catholic formation is embedded throughout the program.
The current kindergarten/primary materials document:
- Structured literacy and science-of-reading instruction.
- Standards-aligned writing, hands-on mathematics and inquiry-based science.
- Washington-aligned social studies.
- Daily religion and prayer, weekly Mass and service learning.
- Art, music, PE, Spanish, weekly K–5 library and K–2 technology integration.
A legacy official kindergarten page named SuperKids, Heggerty, Eureka Math, Bridges Number Corner, Mystery Science, Second Step and God Loves Us. Those product names are not repeated on the redesigned current pages or in the 2025–26 handbook, so they should be confirmed for 2027–28.
Progress reporting
The 2025–26 handbook is the most specific public source for academic tracking:
- Informal assessment through observation, listening, questions and discussion.
- Formal evidence through written responses, portfolios, tests, performance tasks and projects.
- K–4 standards scale: 3 meeting, 2 approaching and 1 below standard.
- Progress report once each trimester and report card at the end of each trimester.
- Fall and spring conferences; the spring conference is student-led for K–8.
- MAP standardized tests begin in grade 2, so kindergarten progress relies on classroom and curriculum-based evidence.
Request a blank kindergarten report card because the public site does not provide the form.
Admissions and cost
- Kindergarten applicants must be five by August 31 of the entry year.
- 2027–28 priority application deadline: December 12, 2026.
- Application fee: $100, non-refundable.
- Small-group kindergarten readiness assessment: normally early January.
- 2026–27 tuition: $11,364 in-parish for one child or $15,308 out-of-parish per student.
- Non-Catholic families may apply but follow Catholic applicants in the published priority order.
- Need-based assistance uses the Fulcrum/FACTS process, typically due December 31.
- Family volunteer commitment: 30 hours for a two-parent family or 15 hours for a single-parent family, with at least four auction hours and a $20 charge for each unfulfilled hour.

Update checklist for 2027
- Replace the 2025–26 handbook with the 2026–27 or 2027–28 version when published.
- Record 2027–28 tuition and every mandatory fee/fundraising obligation.
- Confirm current curriculum product names.
- Obtain a blank kindergarten report card and assessment calendar.
- Confirm kindergarten class size, teacher/assistant staffing, X-Care rates and availability.
