Schoolwide Learning Expectations (SLEs)

Our Lady of the Lake students have:

Nurtured Hearts that

  • Consistently demonstrate respect for themselves and others’ property, opinions, beliefs, rights, and cultures through their words and actions (e.g., using respectful language, taking care of shared spaces)
  • Participate in community service projects and charitable activities at least once per trimester
  • Use positive interpersonal skills, including active listening, empathy, and conflict resolution strategies, to help create a peaceful classroom and community
  • Show compassion by performing specific acts of kindness and support for classmates (e.g., helping a peer in need, welcoming new students)
  • Willingly make personal sacrifices, such as giving up time or resources, to benefit others
