Summary
Cascadia is an HC cohort school for grades 2–5 in Licton Springs, with explicit acceleration and project-based learning. Its exceptionally high test results are real school-level results, but its selected enrollment makes comparison with a general neighborhood school misleading. Program and access
- Students work one to two grades ahead; SPS describes pathway math as two grades accelerated and ELA as one grade accelerated.
- The school emphasizes project-based learning, environmental stewardship, technology, science and arts. It offers visual arts and PE; grade 2 has STYLE music, grade 3 garden instruction and grades 4–5 instrumental music.
